Student Council

What is a student council? 

A Student Council is a group of elected and volunteer students working together with an adult advisor within the framework of a constitution or bylaws to provide a means for student expression and assistance in school affairs and activities, give opportunities for student experience in leadership, and encourage student/faculty/community relations.

President:

Plan and conduct meetings, appoint committee chairs and members, maintain order, solicit input of representatives, work closely with advisers, and execute ideas.

Vice-President:

Assistant to the President, run meetings in the President’s absence, head committees  as assigned, to help execute ideas

Secretary:

Take attendance at, and minutes of, meetings; report meeting activity to all on the council

Treasurer:

Keep track of student council funds, consult with advisers on funding and finances for the council
