Cluster Classes

At P.S. 135, we offer special academic programs that accelerate talented students. We also offer dance, music, technology, exploration, and physical education.

Students will be introduced to the wonders of the natural world and how it works. This will build curiosity, observation skills, and foundational knowledge.

Our students will learn how to use technology to get information for learning. Students will also apply coding applications to gain exposure to more advanced computer science.

Students learn various gross motor skills while participating in activities designed to promote healthy habits. Students practice movement techniques, teamwork through team building, and competitive activities while learning about the importance of health, nutrition, and physical fitness.

Our library provides students with access to information and resources through our growing collection of books, magazines, and technology in a fresh, colorful, inviting classroom environment that promotes student learning and motivates our young readers.

 

Our students visit the library weekly to borrow books and other materials to use at home and in the classroom.

Our students are offered opportunities to explore diverse dance cultures.  Students would have an opportunity to enhance their creativity, coordination, and social skills.  Additionally,  students will create a safe space for self-expression.

Students will understand the world around them-past, present, and future. Our students will explore various areas as geography, civics, economics, and culture, to build critical thinking and global awareness.
